UK- Liberia Energy Transition & Countdown to COP26

18-20 October 2021, London & Monrovia

EVENT SUMMARY

Against the background of the continued uncertainty around COVID-19 and its impact on international travel and in-person meetings, DMA are hosting an innovative hybrid event on the 18th to 20th October combining socially distanced physical meetings in London and Monrovia, connected by a digital bridge. For companies who wish to travel if it is safe to do so, there is the opportunity to join an in-person trade mission which shall run concurrently.

Focused on the energy transition, this event will connect business to business and business to government. Day one will see key principals and interlocutors from both governments introduced to the delegates and given the opportunity to present their positions in the run up to COP26, followed by 1-to-1 meetings between UK and Liberian businesses. On day two, British companies shall meet with pre-identified individuals within the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other relevant authorities on a 1-to-1 basis.
