UK-Mozambique Investment Forum, December 2010

On 2nd December 2010, at One Whitehall Place, London, Developing Markets Associates in conjunction with the High Commission of Mozambique to the United Kingdom, hosted the UK-Mozambique Investment Forum 2010.

The event was attended by some 200 delegates who were welcomed with opening remarks by HE António Gumende, Mozambican High Commissioner to the UK and Hon Oldemiro Marques Baloi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for the Government of Mozambique and the Hon Stephen O’Brien, Under-Secretary of State for International Development, UK.

UK-Ghana Investment Forum, July 2010

Developing Markets Associates in conjunction with the High Commission of Ghana to the United Kingdom, hosted the UK-Ghana Investment Forum 2010.

The event was attended by some 300 delegates who were welcomed with opening comments by HE Prof Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Ghanaian High Commissioner to the UK, Atam Sandhu, Chief Executive of Developing Markets Associates and Baroness Lynda Chalker, Chairman, Africa Matters Limited. The opening address was given by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama,Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.

Stating the Case for Investing in Nigeria, April 2009

With recent market turmoil and lost confidence in structured credit products, fund managers and OECD banks are now seeking modest equity stakes in sound emerging markets, as they can demonstrate higher earnings potential in coming years. Nigeria is a country of 150 million people - by far the biggest in Africa. It boasts an expanding, entrepreneurial workforce, a progressive government with a proactive agenda of attracting foreign direct investment and access to a further regional market of 300 million people.

The UK-Zambian Investment Forum 2009

In December 2009, DMA hosted the Zambian government, lead by Vice President, George Kunda, for three days of investment promotion activities. On Wednesday 3rd December 2009, prominent parliamentarians joined the Vice President, Minister of Trade and Commerce, Minister of Works and Supply, Central Bank Governor, Chairman of the Lusaka Stock Exchange and many other prominent Zambians for a private dinner.
