UK-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum

Throughout the day we hosted over 300 delegates including senior officials,
representation from Missions in the UK, national investment agencies and parastatals,
the World Bank MIGA and IFC, and CAF – the Development Bank of Latin America
and the Caribbean.

Keynotes were delivered by Rt Hon David Lammy, Foreign Secretary, who, during the
busiest of weeks, joined us to convey his heartfelt sentiment about the UK-Caribbean
relationship alongside addresses from the Secretary General of the Commonwealth,
Baroness Scotland and the CEO of UK Export Finance, Tim Reid.

From the Caribbean nations we welcomed Mr. Octavian Charles, CEO of Invest St
Lucia and Mr Sekou Alleyne, President of InvesTT, Senator Ryan Pinder, Attorney
General, The Bahamas, Hon. Minister Osmand Martinez, Minister of Foreign Trade,
Belize, Sen. Hon. Aubyn Hill, Minister of Industry, Investment & Commerce, Jamaica,
and Hon. John Osborne, Minister for Agriculture, Lands, Housing, Environment &
Sports, Montserrat.

The ministerial opening panel and three plenaries that followed, made it a content-
rich, remarkable day.
